To get the best fit from your compression socks, measure around the widest part of your mid-calf. Calf measurements are the most important part of compression sock sizing. If you have smaller feet but fuller calves, we recommend sizing up. If you have larger feet but slimmer calves, sizing down may give you a better compression fit. When in doubt, always prioritise calf fit over foot size for comfort and effectiveness.
What if my calves are bigger than 39cm?
That’s a great question! In future, we hope to expand into a third size option to be even more inclusive. Our current size chart reflects the manufacturer’s recommended fit range for optimal comfort and compression performance.
That said, we have personally trialled the L/XL size on calves up to 42cm and found them to still be well tolerated due to the gentler 15–20 mmHg compression level. Please keep in mind that in these cases, the compression may feel firmer, the socks may not maintain their intended compression lifespan as long, and the graphics or patterns may appear more stretched or distorted due to the additional tension on the fabric.
